Video: The Arrivals
Bismillah. At the outset I’d like to honor the pursuit of the truth and the efforts the video makers made in seeking understanding as opposed to hate. This is a noble venture and the points below are not aimed at discrediting that.
A note of caution: The documentary repeats and replays images of lewdness, music, sexuality and drug use. Likewise, there are some differences of Aqeedah mentioned within (such as the idea that Allah created the universe with laws and left it or the Shi’ite perspective of Islam). I’ll try to stick to the main points regarding the factual presentations given and one can read about the issues of aqeedah on other posts.
Remember: It is a form of shirk to associate the Power and Will of Allah with anyone or anything other than Allah. Saying that Shaytan gives someone power and makes people powerful is not from the aqeedah of Ahl Sunna because Allah is the only One who Decrees what Will be.
[The following points will follow relatively chronologically along with the episodes – they are not in order of importance]
1) In The Arrivals many theories and ideas are presented as if they are one cohesive body (conspiracy), however the linking data or linking evidence to connect these ideas is not given. I am not saying that these theories are wrong or right, rather than they are presented as if they are all connected without supporting evidence. These ideas and theories include:
a. The planned and strategic usage of sexual imagery in children’s television and the greater promotion of lewdness and degradation of sexual morality.
b. The imagery of the Lion/Horse crest on Government/Cigarette/Alcohol symbols (based upon Biblical prophecy)
c. The symbolism of the Freemason Architect “eye” and membership of powerful elite
d. The secret possession from Jerusalem at the time of the Crusades that gives power and control (originally found by Templars)
e. The Skull and crossbones symbolism
f. The illuminati and its relation to the music industry
g. Emergence of the “new world order” of wars and globalization
h. The symbolism of pyramids and tapping of the earth’s hidden energy grid
i. The global support of the State of Israel
j. The occult, paganism, magic and Satanism
k. The theory of energy and vibes/vibrations and other related theories
l. The concept of sacred geometry and sacred mathematics
m. The proliferation of mass media, music, television, movies and the like.
n. Belief that ancient pyramids facilitated global communication and special power sourcing
o. The belief that the Dajjal is a system not a person (as described in the Sunnah)
p. The death of Michael Jackson and the plots behind it
q. That freemasonry is actually based upon Kabbalah, or Jewish Magic and magic that pre-dates Judaism
r. Hollywood’s stereotyping of Arabs, Muslims and the Arab world
s. Alternative 9/11 explanations
t. UFOs and the New World Order’s plan to stage a UFO attack on the world
u. That all powerful elites and world leaders are Satanists
v. That the Pharaoh’s bloodline is the current ruling Monarch in Britain
Each of these theories are in need of reflection and consideration, however one cannot assume that they are connected and linked in a planned effort by a single body without sufficient evidence to make such a claim. The Arrivals presents these theories as if they are all a plot from a specific group (empowered by Shaytan), however it does not account for any other factors, such as: the market demand for sexual imagery and the advantage that sexual imagery has in advertising; the supply and demand and ease of world trade in globalization; the “crest” image is not exact representations on each product, rather these are similar logos and there is a historical usage for such emblems; the distinct membership and separation between the organizations related to the freemason symbolism and the Skull and cross bone symbolism; the structural advantages to the pyramid in ancient times (ex: ease of construction, ability to increase height and durability) that facilitated its global usage in pre-modern times; and the socio-political, geo-political and religious reasons that the State of Israel has gained support; the fact that the lion is a common symbol because of its power and dominance in the animal kingdom; the role of superstition in everyday life and that is it often correlated by the mind but does not necessitate a plot to confuse the masses; the factor of green in global business as it affects the new world order and globalization as well as the use of sexuality in advertisements and the proliferation of goods such as alcohol and cigarettes; the role of addition in the sale of products such as alcohol and cigarettes; the effectiveness of using geometry and geometric patterns in construction and for aesthetic purposes; the demand and profitability in mass media; the freedom within mass media, to create such shows as The Arrivals; the other factors that played into the war on terror, such as the existence of actual extremist groups executing acts of terror; the geo-political and economic reasons for invading Iraq and Afghanistan; certainly the events of 9/11 have been called into question as it related to the US governmental explanation, however no clear alternative has yet emerged and thus we cannot assume that our best guess is correct, et cetera.
2) The condescending attitude of “soon you’ll know” and “soon you’ll understand” and “soon you’ll be free” makes the viewer feel as if the documentary makers have some secret information they’ve yet to share with the audience. However, the continual blaring of this messaging is using the similar tools and methods which were “evidence” that media came from Shaytan.
3) The use of cult movies, such as the Matrix, Fight Club and the Lord of the Rings throughout, clearly undermine their message as they are promoting the mainstream Hollywood media which they claim to be a part of the master plan for the new world order.
4) “Connections” are made between relatively unrelated topics to promote their theories. For example: Part 11 begins with Hamza Yusuf talking about the Sun God of the Pharaoh’s and its relation to the Freemason Architect “eye” along with the word ray coming for that Pharaonic origin and then the title of Madonna album “Ray of Light” is portrayed as something seemingly shaytanic. This connecting of unrelated imagery and tidbits of information without factual evidence to link them is not evidence at all.
5) The idol worship of celebrities is considered shaytanic when done for pop stars that are supported by the claimed illuminati-dominated music industry, however cult like following of Michael Jackson, Bob Marley and Diana (called our hero) is not deemed so. Again, selective use of information to promote an idea.
6) The evidence of the music industry’s dominance by illuminati and their agenda being encoded in all forms of messaging revolves around only a few people, in particular the documentary focuses upon Madonna and Britney Spears. And, no evidence is provided to show that these people in particular or their bosses are in fact a part of Illuminati – rather it is given as if it were fact (for arguments sake, one needs to prove the point not just state what one believes to be truth).
7) The use of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion as “evidence” when clearly this document is a forgery as has been deemed so by Western Academia and Islamic scholarship, its roots, agenda and plagiarized portions are well known.
8) The lack of “smoking-guns” and reports from previous workers – for example: if Disney has a master plan to indoctrinate the children through sexual imagery in cartoon films, there would be at least one editor/artist or otherwise who would come forward speaking about the fact that he’d be told and/or directed to create a cartoon based upon the imagery of sexual organs/imagery. And yet, such has not happened in the case of Disney or any of the others.
9) On The Arrivals own website Part 21, Part 23 and Part 37 are missing (there are files but they direct you to the following section)
10) The section regarding UFOs conveniently mixes actual images with Hollywood and other footage of UFOs. Granted, UFOs may be explained by the testing of yet to be released military technology, but that of itself is not proof that the “New World Order” is plotting to use UFOs to stage an attack to finalize their control of Earth.
11) The film confuses the “satanic” hand sign (which is shown) with the American Sign Language sign for “I love you,” which is close to the “satanic” hand sign but it also extends the thumb. The documentary mixes these two images / hand signs as if they were the same and had the same meaning.
12) The Dajjal being our ruler as a system goes against many ahadith in the Sunna. It puts aside the physical description of a person, it leaves aside all the ahadith that describe the dajjal and what he looks like, it does not discuss the ahadith regarding the precursors and timeline that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) has related for us. The Arrivals selectively uses some ahadith to “prove” that the “Architect eye” is the one-eyed dajjal system and that the dajjal is alive and ruling us. They have interpreted the ahadith of “one year” to mean one heavenly year and this it equals 1000 years and goes forth with a theory of who ruled the world during this time, after the speech given by a speaker there is no authentic evidence to advocate this understanding of the ahadith, nor the rest of the narrations relating to dajjal, which were not mentioned at all. One who is slightly versed in the dajjal as is presented in the authentic sunna will realize this argument and this idea of the dajjal being a system is not correct.
13) The aspect of why all the leaders are practicing and embracing Satanism and dominating the world, who are working to eradicate religion and the belief in Allah, neglects to address to fact that the Most-Powerful and the Most-Merciful is Greater. Allah is All-Knowing not unaware of the plots of Satan for surely the pen has been lifted and nothing occurs without the knowledge and Will of Allah, Most-High. Let us not forget this crucial and important point as we are told that Satan is taking over the world through the whims and pacts of the elite and leaders.
14) The Arrivals states that only evil jinn “cross the dimensional boarder” and therefore we do not / cannot encounter good jinn. They also state that only sacrifice “opens the door” for that cross dimensional communication, symbolized by a cross checkered floor, and that all leaders of the world today practice these rituals of sacrifice. I don’t feel the need to comment on this. Had there been authentic religious evidence for the former one might consider it and had there been anything beyond opinion for the latter is may have be entertained.
15) Much of the theories and information regarding the plans of Shaytan rely upon one long interview from an unknown source taken by unmentioned journalists and presented by an unknown speaker. How can a logical person take this as the “key” to unlocking this truth? This is pure opinion given by an unknown source regarding Satanism and is the foundation for the latter part of the entire series.
In Sum we have a collection of antidotal evidence and a listing of various controversial theories. It is stated that there are a lot of things going wrong. There is a massive negative trend in society. However, a collection of images, photos and clips of music/movies does not prove that the Freemasons/Illuminati/Pharaohs are running society. As was mentioned in the film, there are a lot of people who have similar world views, but they are not necessarily working in concerted efforts. Those similar views include greed (globalization, sexual marketing), control (New World Order, clubs of secret societies), power and the like. Although many of these above mentioned plots are said to have a Shaytanic origin, many have had positive effects and thus the dichotomy is not as black and white as is presented.
Occam’s Razor states: entities must not be multiplied beyond necessity.
I rest my case upon Occam’s Razor until facts, sources and ideas are connected justly.

Thank you so much for writing this!!! I have thought many of these things. Watching those videos scared me considerably, but it also left me thinking ''really? are they serious?".
I seem to be surrounded by people buying into it and I'm sorry, but I'm going to need ''actual'' evidence first.
Your welcome. Glad it was helpful.
Salaam Aleikum
Have to say I agree with what you're saying. Unfortunately it caused a loss of credibility in my opinion and made me want to stop watching.
cm
wa'alaykum salaam wa rahmatullah,
InshaAllah you can spend your time in a better way with this information.
Salam Alaikum
well I have to thank u for ur feedback it is informative ... for me as I said i never watch anything and take it for guarantee .... I know and read the ahadeeth regarding al dajjal and how the sahaba described him, so I already know that the idea says Al dajjal is an Idea doesn't go with my believes and so many other things from what u mentioned but I can't deny that it opened my eyes on many other important things that can't be coincidences ....
Most important thing is that trusted books, Quran and sunnah r the best informative sources we will ever have :)
Assalamu Alaikum,
MashaAllah, it's good to see people thinking. I agree with you on many of the points, however, I wonder why you have not mentioned any positive points?
Agreed, a lot of it doesn't seem very factual, but atleast it is shedding light on some of the evil things going on in the world.
The problem I did have with it though is that these things only seem to be made "evil" if they are outright satanic, whereas it should be bad enough just that they are haram. For example, music videos (such as Rihanna's) are sinful enough without them having devil-worshipping themes. One need not look into the lyrics and see her literally calling upon the devil to see that there's something wrong with it, atleast from an Islamic perspective.
It is bad enough that such ridiculous people are called "celebrities" and "stars" and that they poison the minds of the youth with complete rubbish, instead of the youth looking up to people actually worthy of their respect and admiration.
Wasalam
wa'alaykum salaam wa rahmatullah,
True. I did not focus on the good points mentioned within.
Take it as you will, but I found it important to highlight these errors rather than recap on the good points.
wa'Allahu 'alem.
wa'alaykum salaam wa rahmatullah SimSim,
Just because things "can't be coincidences" does not mean we can assume this to be an explanation without proof. If the films opened your eyes, that is good, but only accept ideas and theories when you have reason to do so.
Brother I dont agree with you. According to me, The Arrivals is a source to regain your consciousness. We don't realize the minute aspects of the extreme conspiracies of these elites, and I believe The Arrivals made us realize it. The documentary is also very logically explained to help understand better, even for someone who has a poor intellect.
Certainly everyone is welcome to their opinion Faiz.
Can I ask if you read the whole post and watched all the episodes of The Arrivals?
If so, I'd be interested to hear what points you disagree with specifically and upon what grounds.
I look forward to such a discussion.
What Does "Islam" Mean?
The word "Islam" itself means "Submission to Allah." The religion of Islam is not named after a person as in the case of "Christianity" which was named after Jesus Christ, "Buddhism" after Gutama Buddha , "Marxism" after Karl Marx, and "Confucianism" after Confucius.
Similarly, Islam is not named after a tribe like "Judaism" after the tribe of Judah and "Hinduism" after the Hindus. The Arabic word "Islam" means the submission or surrender of one's will to the will of the only true god worthy of worship, "Allah" (known as God "the Father" in Christianity).
Anyone who does indeed submit to the will of Allah as required by Islam is termed a "Muslim," which means one who has submitted to the will of Allah. Many people in the West have developed the sad misinformed trend of calling Islam "Muhammadenism" and it's followers "Muhammadins." This is a totally foreign word to Muslims and unrecognized by them. No Muslim has ever called his religion "Muhammadenism" or called himself a "Muhammadin."
Assalamualaikum brother.
May i ask, what's your perspective on the producers of the film? Credible, 50-50, or just can't be trusted?
Though from my experience of watching the arrivals, i do agree some parts did bother me a bit. especially the repeated sex parts. but nonetheless, it made me realize how corrupt the western world is with sex being promoted. but i don't think the producers intended to promote sex whatsoever. they just showed us what was wrong.
and from what i have gone through, i can honestly say, watching the arrivals made me a better person wholely. it made me realize how weak and small i am. and even though i thought i knew much, there was just a bunch of other stuff waiting to be discovered. i've started doing tahjud now and make du'a every night if possible to Allah. it also made me aware that whatever things that happen or is going to happen in life, Allah has already scripted it. and i do think that syaitan can give power to humans with Allah's permission. but the "power" is not from syaitan itself. rather Allah willed the power to be given. how do u explain some shamans who can give their clients power in business rivalries? or even physical beauty?
and i've watched every episode of the arrivals + subtitled them. though some parts of it were a bit controversial, i have to say the good points outshadowed the bad ones. not to metion the divine book series which was also produced by them. that series was more focused on the one true religion and the miracles of the Quran. they did expose to us about the supremeness of Allah. and that justice and Islam will prevail in the end.
and also, from what i watched in the arrivals, i seriously think that they were referring dajjal to a man. not a system as you mentioned.
but these are just some points from a mere human being's perspective. no one has the absolute truth. and no one will ever have it. only Allah does. but nevertheless, it's not wrong to seek it. because whoever seeks, shall find.
regards brother.
i admire your critical thinking on these matters.
may peace and blessings be upon you.
Wasalamualaikum.
wa'alaykum salaam wa rahmatullah Luqman.
I'll try to answer all your comments and questions, let me know if I miss any or if anything is not clear:
Regarding the producers, I have not met them so I can not comment on this.
Regarding power giving and Shaytan. There needs to be an important distinction made here, which you have pointed out. The problem with The Arrivals in general is that it is a compilation of other people's content (for the most part), and therefore you have a whole bunch of ideas and ideologies being put forth. Such as the large segments presented about Devil worship from a Christian and the like. This becomes problematic because viewers do not know which parts are within the Islamic belief and which are not (as it is not clarified within). I agree with you that, by Allah's Decree, all things occur. However, I do not agree with all the powers and abilities which Shaytan/Satan is described to have within the clips The Arrivals uses. I made this comment mostly as a reminder for us Muslims to be aware that even if these theories of world domination through paganism and devil worship have some validity to them, everything comes back to Allah as nothing passes without His Knowledge and Decree.
Likewise with the presentation of Dajjal. Certainly some parts mention Dajjal as being a single person. However, other clips do not. For example, the clips of a lecture given about 1 year, 1 month and 1 day and so forth (which is repeated); clearly this is referring to Dajjal as a system. Thus, again we have problems since the content is not all unique to The Arrivals, but a compilation of clips and unique materials. As you saw, they also used clips from other documentaries and shows (also Hollywood movies a lot as well).
I did not say that this film was 100% wrong, and if I came across that way then I apologize. However, I believe that one would benefit more by reading the Qur'an for seven hours than watching this series. Some parts may contain truth, however for the most part the proof and evidence for those claims are not provided (if you have a look at the list of theories I provided, most of them are mentioned in passing without much justification).
BarakAllah fiikum akhi.
wa'salaam
As salaam u alaikum
1stly, i must comment that you're article is well written and not written in a harsh manner to the producers (wherby I've seen other revews that vindicate the Arrivals).
Some points on your arguments:
- Allah is the supreme power, everyhing is controlled by Allah and everything happens with the will of Allah. Allah has the power to grant Shaytaan power, Illuminati have become rich and world dominating through the systems of monetary control through the ages - ie. Banking. The Rothchilds invented the banking systems based on the haraam concepts of Riba. Iblees, who is the enemy of mankind (by refusing to bow down to Hazrat Adam AS) told Allah he will try to turn mankind away from Allah. Allah granted his request to try. So therefore, Allah grants power and everything only happens through his will. Allah has willed that the times we live in today are such. Shaytaan has come up with a plan to mislead mankind using matieriality and focus on the dunya. The Illuminati, Freemasons, Bones etc are furthering this agenda
2nd point - The time when Dajaal is in our physical landscape will be a time of great fitna and trial upon Musilms as stated in the Hadiths of the Prophet SAW. The world will be essentially split into Muslim vs Kufaar whereby Dajaal and his forces will be attacking Islam. To the masses of the world who are following Dajaal, they will belive that Muslims are enemies of this world hence why they will follow Dajaal. Is it no co incidence today that the Islamic states are being attacked under the face of global terrorism?? You say that there is actual terrorists in the muslims but could this not be a conspiracy that a group of people are carrying out attacks in the name of Islam to deface Islam and create the impression to the rest of the world that Islam is evil??
Furthermore, the representation of Dajaal as a system, is I believe, a system to set the world up for Dajaals arrival. Dajaal will have powers (powers which Allah has granted to him in order to test the ummah)to mislead and decieve humanity. The world will not go from our normal daily lives to the next day whereby Dajaal appears and the wrld follows - it will be a systematical change whereby Dajaal system will create a need for the world to follow Dajaal. The Arrivals has many theories (eg UFO's, Pyramid chanelling powers etc etc) - while all that may sound absurd and possibly is, i think they are right in the fact these conspiring forces will use a global event to pursue their agenda. They have done it before (my theory offcourse) - Prior to WW1, Jerusalem and Palestine were in control of the Ottomans. WW1 outcomes produced that the Ottoman empire was dismantled, Russia was overthrown, and that Britain gained control of Jerusalem. WW2 saw outcomes as the birth of Israel, the formation of the UN and world organisations. The UN is a puppet and useless as Israel used illegal weapons on Palestinians during December 2008 as well as massacring thousands and thousands of innocent people. No Action is taken upon Israel - WHY IS THAT SO - PLEASE EXPLAIN LOGA ABDULLAH SINCE YOU HAVE AN ANSWER FOR EVERYTHING. Afghanistan is still being attacked, Iraq is burning - the Ummah is hurting - these are issues affecting all us seated in front of our monitors and keyboards. Yes, we all agree that we should start follwoing Quraan and Sunnah more and stop watching The Arrivals and have discussions around that, but we should wake up and realise that YES, there is a conspiracy against Islam, YES,Muslims are being branded evil in the world and YES,our brothers and sisters in the Middle East are bearing the pain and suffering of this global conspiracy. For those that have children - start thinking about what world your children and being brought up in - holding on to Imaan has never been more critical as we will be faced with more and more challenges that will try to take us off the Siraatul Mustakeem. The Arrivals is called The arrivals as it indicates the arrival of Dajaal (as a physical being not a system), of Imam Mehdi and Hazrat Isa AS. Please make maaf for any mistake comments i have said, my intention is to get us thinking so would appreciate your response Brother Abdullah.
Jaza ka Allah
wa'alaykum salaam wa rahmatullah,
Thanks for the comments and time Get_the_message.
I should point out that I did not claim to know everything, nor in fact anything. I am just a student sharing some thoughts and reminders and am inshaAllah just as happy to hear and accept the Truth from whoever and wherever it comes.
Regarding the various groups you and the film has mentioned (freemasons, bones, illuminti et cetera), I did not say that these groups do not exist or have no power. Rather, I said that lumping all these groups into a documentary along with New Age ideas and a plethora of other theories does not in itself act as a proof - and, to me it weakens the argument, since I disagree with many of these ideas because they oppose Islamic teachings (such as these New Age ideas and others that I mentioned).
About Dajjal, I did not mean to deny Dajjal - and if I made it seem that way, I apologize. Surely I believe in Dajjal, however I believe it him as a person not as a system, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, told us. Regarding systematic changes leading up the Dajjal, I can't recall Prophet narrations regarding that but am happy to be informed of them.
Regarding terrorists acts. I am not a person who agrees with everything I hear and see on TV, however it would be unjust and incorrect to say that there are not Muslims involved in some things. I can elaborate if need be.
Regarding your questions about why there are wars in Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan and others, let me leave you with some words from Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) for your consideration:
I am commanding you and those who are with you to be more careful in avoiding sin than in avoiding your enemy, for sins of the army are to be feared more than their enemy... If we are equally matched in sin, they would have an advantage over us in strength, and if we did not have an advantage over them by our virtue, we would not be able to defeat them by our strength. Remember that you have over you protectors from Allah who know what you are doing, so feel shy before them and do not do any act of disobedience towards Allah. You are striving for the sake of Allah; do not say that our enemy is worse than us and will never prevail over us even if we commit sin. A people may be defeated by others who are worse than them, just as the Children of Israel were defeated by the non-believing Magians when they did deeds that angered Allah, and:
“… They entered the very innermost parts of your homes. And if was a promise [completely] fulfilled.” (17:5)
Ask Allah for help against your evil whims and desires just as you ask Him for help against your enemies. I ask Allah for that, for us and for you.
As salaam u laikum Brother
Please make me maaf for my tone in my post - i did not mean to come across harsh and for that I ask your forgiveness - I became emotional when Im just merely trying to get a message across. Your original post has truth to it and I accept your points. Your advise is good and I make dua for you as well - May Allah grant the Ummah unity and shower his mercy and guidance upon us all.
Jazakallah
Just some comments on your responses ( and I dont say I am right and you are wrong as just like you, I am a learner and take feedback from all over)
Regarding the various groups you and the film has mentioned (freemasons, bones, illuminti et cetera), I did not say that these groups do not exist or have no power.
I dont think Arrivals is proof of anything, rather it highlights certain messages and conspiracies. My opinion is that gaining actual proof of The Illuminati and secret societies would be difficult to obtain as these groups are "secret" and have enabled alot of myth around them. There are however, many co incidences in the media and the world that make believing that these organisations are mere mtyh.
"About Dajjal, I did not mean to deny Dajjal - and if I made it seem that way, I apologize. Surely I believe in Dajjal, however I believe it him as a person not as a system, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, told us. Regarding systematic changes leading up the Dajjal, I can't recall Prophet narrations regarding that but am happy to be informed of them."
No apology needed as did not take your message anyway. I dont know if the hadiths stated a systematic change but I do know that hadiths did state minor signs of Qiyaamat(which sort of can be regarded as a systematic run up as condtions will deteriorate increasingly) such as divorces will be common(speak to molanas about divorce stas and you will be shocked, get into the reasons and you will be further shocked), increase in usage of wine (drugs are a major problem with the youth of today, gone are the days of smoking weed, its now harder options like cocaine, rocks, heroin etc), men will dress like women(Transvestites) and women dress like men (I assure you, this trend is only been from the 50's onwards,100 years ago dress was seperate),
Homosexuality will increase(my boss who is lesbian informed me that in the 80's if you were gay, you could be locked up - today if you are anti gay,you are labelled a hater and not 'respecting people'), people woll compete in the building of high towers(this was told to us 1400 yrs ago when a building reaching the sky could not be comprehended, yet Dubai and China are all competing for the tallest building),music will be played aloud in the mosque(10 years ago, cellphones had normal ring tones, up to max 5 yrs ago MP3 ringtones came out, and people let their music tones play aloud during namaaz making yet another statement said 1400 yrs ago, true today. This is quite recent Brother, so my point that our world has definetely systematically evolved based on sayings from the Prophet SAW according to the minor signs). We should not ignore and take heed of the signs.
"Regarding terrorists acts. I am not a person who agrees with everything I hear and see on TV, however it would be unjust and incorrect to say that there are not Muslims involved in some things. I can elaborate if need be."
Offcourse there are muslims involved in terrorists attacks - but not to the extent that is portaryed in the media. Rather, it has taken on a face of terrorism and is used to further agendas beyond the neccessary need (innocent people are the victims here and Im refering to the Afghani, Iraqi and Palestinian people). WW1 fought communISM, WW2 fought nazISM, the world is now fighting terrorISM, and why are all terrorist always associated with ISLAM and not Judaism or Christianity. Just my thoughts hey.
On your last point I have nothing to say as it is true words of wisdom and surely something we should strive to.
But all in all, my thinking about what is happening is things that we should wake up and take heed of. Almost everyone complains of a shortage of time as we all feel trapped in a rat race. If The Arrivals serves to awaken some sort of revival, then surely we should be re itterating the good messages around it and offer opinions on where to from here.
Jaza ka Allah again brother
wa'alaykum salaam wa rahmatullah,
InshaAllah we are students seeking Truth. May Allah enable us with Guidance while we search.
I agree with you on many of these points my brother. The media is be used, agendas are be pushed. I am not disagreeing with you about that.
I agree that the minor signs are many and increasing in our times. May Allah protect us and give us stability on the diin. I agree and think we should take heed in that. Let us find comfort in the Qur'an and following the way of our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), rather than worrying about the plots of various groups - Verily Allah is Greater. Victory comes from none but Him; likewise, defeat and humiliation. May Allah protect us.
If you find that The Arrivals does that, each of us has been uniquely created by Allah and are different, because I don't. I feel The Arrivals presents many confusing conspiracy ideas that will take Muslims time (into researching and exposing these various groups while neglecting to open the Qur'an). I find the "truth" being brought in The Arrivals at many points actually conflicts with Islam and thus can in fact mislead people into false ideologies. And, may Allah forgive me if I am wrong.
If we are seeking knowledge, let us seek if properly, and in its proper place. Uncited conspiracy video clips mashed together on YouTube is one source I am not willing to adjust my Islam upon - rather, I suggest for myself first and foremost to spend those hours sitting with a scholar to learn my religion rather than in-front of my computer, because the true protection from Dajjal and from misguidance will be understanding this diin. May Allah guide us to be among those who truly seek knowledge for His sake. amin.
and Allah knows best.
Spoken with a sincere and meaningful response, you are spot on with what you say. I agree with you 100 percent. Jazakallah for your response and may Allah keep you always guided. like you say, our answers and sucess lie in always striving for deen. Ameen to your duas brother. Was salaam
wa'iyakum. as you know I am just a student and I thank you for reading and writing.
Asalamalaykom to all who either wrote this article or posted replies to it. Mashallah! It is so nice to see such polite commentary and respecftul tones despite differences of opinion, as well as well-thought out arguments. This is how Muslims are supposed to address one another and it's really heart-warming to see such exchanges - especially when our ummah is so fractured (alstaghfirallah)these days. Mashallah!:)
wa'alaykum salaam wa rahmatullah.
Thanks for your comments Tania.
As Salam Elekum,
I agree with you. I wasted my time in researching in these stuff, after watching Arrivals.
Whats interesting I found that people they showed like Alex Jones and David Ickle were themselves heretic. More likely you can say that they were attention seeker. Like one of them claimed he is Jesus and after that he writing stuff on conspiracy theories. So are you going to belief in words of these heretic attention seekers
And the hidden agenda of them was clearly exposed when they ended the series with their Shite stuff.
This series also unveiled many aspect of truth the like corruption of govt official and politician.
Jazak Allah Khair for great work.
wa'iyakum MURK.
inshaAllah other posts and book reviews are likewise balanced and of benefit.
salaam alaykum.
JazakAllah for the review. I watched it years back and was hooked; and only once the effects faded did i realise the absurdity of it all. Not to say that everything they say is false - but from a methodical point of view, the producers didn't prove how things are connected...and if that was an academic endeavour, it would fall down flat because it doesn't substantiate the links. The disc i had of it said 'countless hours of hard research' - but i don't remember them giving a bibliography or reference list of all that research.
That said, i think the overall theme was good - that of awakening us from our slumber. However outrageous it may seem at times, there was a thread of truth running through it - that being that we need to wake up and connect ourselves with our Creator, and disconnect, or lessen our links, with the corruption of today's prevailing pop culture and values.
In terms of presentation, the series did a great job of drawing one in. Islamic media outlets - writers and speakers, can take lessons from that - i.e. make their presentations more captivating (while still remaining within Islamic etiquettes - which this series broke).
